Back from the United Kingdom; in one piece. What adventures; what fun; what spontanaeity from a woman known for adaptability but not spontanaeity; the daughter of a father widely regarded as a man who can do things on the spur of the moment so long as he has 24 hours’ notice.
These moments of saying “yes” are so unlike this woman whose first word was “No;” who wears charms around her neck in the letters, “N” and “O.” I am unaccustomed to “yes” — instead, fluent in “yes, but…”
So that’s that.
I’m practicing law; practicing yoga; training as a runner, a writer; but I am living this moment.
